Thinking of picking up a Mac mini? Here’s what you need to know.
Works with your own Display
With a built-in HDMI video port, the Mac mini can be connected to your own display, keyboard and mouse. It will work with a third-party mouse, display or keyboard, whilst you can also choose to purchase an official Apple version of each separately.
Built-In SD Card, Wi-Fi, Thunderbolt 2, USB 3 & Bluetooth Support
Fully functional, the Mac mini will read SD cards, meaning you can import and view your photographs, whilst Wi-Fi functionality and bluetooth are also supported. The fast Thunderbolt 2 USB ports and USB 3 allow for plugging in of plenty of devices, such as a keyboard or mouse.
Powerful Intel Core Processors
The Mac mini offers fourth-generation Intel Core processors. This means that despite its size, this box is as powerful as a normal sized computer. There are four processing sizes to choose from - 1.4GHz, 2.6GHz, 2.8GHz or the 3.0GHz. What you choose depends on how powerful you need it. The larger the processor, the more fluid your experience will be. The utilisation of Turbo 2.0 will also help to speed things up.
Fusion Drive Offers Large Memory
The Fusion Drive combines the 1TB hard drive with flash storage. The Fusion Drive effortlessly organises everything on your system, placing frequently used files and apps on the faster flash storage whilst infrequently used items are moved onto the hard drive.
With Fusion Drive, the Mac mini loads up incredibly fast, and the same can be said for the applications and files also contained within. Choose between a 500GB, 1TB or 2TB version.
